Avenue5 is growing, and we are in search of a regional marketing sales manager to join our dynamic team of Fivers!

Summary of Responsibilities

The regional marketing sales manager serves as the Avenue5 associate responsible for developing content and presenting property marketing strategies for new business pursuits and client development activities as assigned. This energetic well-spoken individual will articulate Avenue5 marketing differentiators and capabilities as well as customized strategies for property marketing success for a given portfolio. This role will work closely with property marketing, operations, and client strategy to develop strategy, understand, and meet client deadlines, and will manage internal tasks accordingly. This role will communicate areas of opportunity and ideas explored during new business pursuits and client development activities to property marketing colleagues to ensure execution of recommendations and meet client objectives.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Develop, manage and serve as a main point of contact to effectively lead the overall marketing-specific business development functions and represent property marketing
  • Actively and confidently present and deliver engaging marketing-related expertise in business development activities including new business meetings, client meetings, presentations, and industry events
  • Apply in-the-moment critical thinking skills to strategically address challenges and develop marketing recommendations.
  • Responsible for the preparation of marketing-specific original content for client proposals, pitches, and custom resources, including the creation/aggregation of content needed to respond to requests for proposal (RFP, RFI, RFQ) meeting all deadlines in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with client strategy and marketing associates as needed to produce required deliverables
  • Uphold the Avenue5 brand standards and provide strategic oversight to ensure a strong brand presence for all marketing deliverables
  • Conduct due diligence and interpret high-level marketing intelligence to provide strategic recommendations and action plans related to target client portfolios and assets
  • Lead internal marketing strategy sessions, writing of content and edits/updates on proposals and presentations.
  • Attend industry events and business development activities where key clients will be present, as required
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and competitive environment to make recommendations regarding marketing strategy and areas of opportunity for differentiation
  • Assist with other business development activities, including (but not limited to) client research, industry research and/or team initiatives
  • Shop competitors for potential projects, as needed.
  • Serve as marketing consultant to key clients prior to established relationship with regional marketing manager is formed, as needed
  • Lead handoff to property marketing colleagues to ensure execution of recommendations and meet client objectives

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Five plus years of experience in direct real estate multi-family marketing within the property management industry is required.
  • Three to five years of pre-development, lease-up and/or grand opening experience in the multi-family property management industry preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience developing content for client proposals and presenting marketing-related expertise in business development pursuits.
  • Advanced level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Participation in industry groups is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional conceptual and creative thinking skills, as well as a solid knowledge of typography, color theory, design and layout principles with a strong aesthetic sense.
  • Exceptional project management skills are required.
  • Strong understanding of property management industry trends, issues and emerging technology.
  • Outstanding presentation skills and can command an audience to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, expanding and developing relationships with clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and go-getter attitude with proven ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Positive demeanor, voracious appetite to learn new things and excellent professional judgement.
  • Required to pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Scheduling

  • Typically, Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm.
  • Required to maintain a regular schedule which may also require working outside of regular schedule, weekends, and non-traditional holidays.
  • Ability to travel (50%).
